Happy Tuesday! It's great linking up with Stephanie from Forever in 5th Grade for Show and Tell Tuesday! I can't wait to come home from my day of meetings and check out everyone's posts.
Here are some photos of my classroom-in-progress, as well as a dog picture, because of course there's always a dog picture!
I know when you get into your classroom, your first priority is to clean, and organize, and then batch tasks, etc...but for me I can't truly get started until I decorate something. I decided to start with my large bulletin board:
I'm in love with the paper I found...it is designed to look like a chalk board! I paired it with a double border of red/polka dots.
Here's a close-up of the double border. I love how it came out!
I'm going to use this board for my anchor charts. Be sure to check out my classroom reveal next week to see it fully completed!
I am incredibly excited about this addition to my reading area:
Who WOULDN'T want to read in there? I have a feeling I'll be tempted to grab a couple pillows and camp out in there on occasion myself!
Sometimes all you need is some border and hot glue gun to make something look brand new again:
I inherited this junky little easel and managed to give it a pretty quick DIY makeover...now it's cute and goes with my theme. I'm going to use this side for my Library Event Calendar and the other side will hold my sign up sheet for students to read in Snoopy's Doghouse!
Finally, the obligatory dog picture. I snapped this the other night when they decided we were going to have a slumber party:
I love this one because it captures their personalities perfectly!
Thanks for reading! Don't forget to head over to Forever in 5th Grade to check out more pictures!
Love the bulletin board- gotta have one for anchor charts. My room was a DISASTER after the move, but I, too, kept finding little spots to "pretty up" because I couldn't stand the continuous cleaning and sorting! And WHERE did you get the snoopy doghouse– too cute! See you later. Kathleen Kidpeople Classroom
ReplyDeleteThey had them at Target last year! You might still be able to get it online. Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteI LOVE Snoopy's dog house - too cute! I bet all the kids are going to want to read in there. Great bulletin board border, too! Good luck setting up your classroom!
ReplyDeleteP>S> I'd like to know where you got the dog house, too.
Thank you! The doghouse was at Target last year when they had all the Peanuts themed summer items. It might still be online somewhere :)
DeleteI also love Snoopy's dog house! I also love how the borders look so great and bring life back into old items!

Me too! I had a full on Snoopy theme in my room for about 5 years. Changing it up a little, but the doghouse stays!
DeleteLove the Snoopy house!
