Currently! May

Today I'm linking up with Farley for (the last, sob!) Currently! Through this linky I was exposed to so many great blogs I may not have found otherwise, so thanks for hosting as long as you did, Farley!

Hard to believe it is May already, despite Justin Timberlake telling me on my Facebook feed for the last week!

Anyhow, here's what it going on in my life right now...

LISTENING:
A combination of Fox News and my boyfriend trying to mount an IKEA shelf to the wall. It is a terrifying combination. Do not recommend!

LOVING:
My bullet journal set up for May. I feel organized and ready to tackle this busy month head on!

Post It covering up personal info

THINKING:
About all the products I want to create this summer. I haven't been as active on TpT as I wanted to be during the school year, but I've still been absorbing and learning as much as possible. I have big plans to be ready for Back to School 2016!

WANTING:
A day off. I also want my spring conferences done ASAP, so that is going to have to wait a bit.

NEEDING:
A return to my routine. Over the past few weeks my school schedule has been all out of sorts due to testing and other events, and my home life was even more of a mess due to the renovations we are doing. I'm looking forward to a "normal" Monday-Friday. Hopefully.

TRUTH:
It won't be a surprise to anyone who knows me that I will be overjoyed to see this school year end as soon as possible. This year started with chaos and looks like it will end the same way! I never really got a chance to find my footing, and at this point I'm just trying to stay upright. Looking forward to a whole summer to regroup and try again. Fortunately, I've been teaching long enough to know that next year, most likely (pretty please?) will be a lot more pleasant.

Don't forget to show some love to Farley for this final Currently!

  1. Sorry you had such a rough year. That happens, doesn't it? I think it's safe to expect better next year...it's one of the things I love about teaching - always getting to start fresh! Best wishes for May - I love that JT meme "It's gonna be May" hahhaa!

  2. I'm the same way about routine! Between testing (SO MUCH TESTING!), furlough days, strike days, conferences, PDs, picture day, and assemblies, I rarely get to see my resource class 5 days a week! I've started planning core instruction for 4 days only, and if we get a 5th it's a bonus! I'll be sad to see Currently go too :(

    1. Sometimes I think I'd enjoy resource teaching, but then I think about all the things you listed and how hard that must be on your schedule! I must have some form of consistency! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. LOL! A "bujo" is a bullet journal...basically a new type of planner. You can read more at bulletjournal.com if you are interested!

  5. My year has been pretty crazy too. It started out that way and has gone up and down. I love my class (despite their challenges) but I am SO READY for this year to be over and to start fresh again in August! Hopefully we both make it :)

  6. One of the best things about teaching is that you get to start over and improve every year. Some serious time in the sunshine and some time to read professional books (along with a generous supply of "brain candy" books) will be lovely. Enjoy your last few weeks!

  7. I'm all about that planner life! I am in the same boat about TPT products. My to do list is a mile long - I just don't have the time or energy to work on it!

    We've got this!

  9. I love how teaching provides an opportunity for a fresh start every year. Seize that day when it comes and make next year spectacular. Until then, make each day the best it can be. Best of luck.
