Sunday Scoop 12/20/15

For many of us, I'm sure this is one of the happiest Sundays of the year! I'm already in full on break mode (i.e. pajamas all day every day), but had to link up with Teaching Trio for the Sunday Scoop!

Here's my scoop for the day:

HAVE TO DO:

So I have been banned from the kitchen this Christmas (for a nice reason, I'm leaving for my vacation super early the day after and my family didn't want me to be tired)...but that won't stop me from making cookies! It's really not Christmas if I don't try at least one new cookie recipe, or two, or...

My doesn't-have-a-festive-bone-in-his-body significant other just informed me that he made up a stocking for me...I didn't even know he knew what a stocking was! Now I have to scramble around to make one up for him! Men, I tell you...

I knew I was feeling kind of Grinch-like this year, but I looked in the mirror and realized I am starting to resemble him as well. Yikes! Definitely in need of  some "me time" in the beauty department!

HOPE TO DO:

Coming off a week of terrible eating, and looking ahead to another week of terrible eating (is it bad that I'm almost more excited for some of the restaurants in DC than I am the monuments...HELLO, Good Stuff Eatery and Toasted Marshmallow Shake!?)...my body is definitely in need of a salad or 12 in these few days before Christmas.

I always say if I have more free time I would put up more products, so it's time to finish one of the 83 half finished ideas I have and get them out there!

HAPPY TO DO:

We have an afternoon game here in Florida, with my Panthers (coming off a 3-game winning streak) returning home to take on the Canucks. Headed out to lunch with my Mom beforehand, courtesy of a gift card from one of my lovely kiddos!

Thanks for reading! Stop by the Trio and show some love!

  1. Washington, DC is a blast. I did a summer internship there many years ago and LOVED it. Considered moving to that area. SO much to do. And it will be beautiful with lights, and perhaps not too chilly to be outside. And you're right, the restaurants are fantastic and with food from all around the world. There's a reason it's the Capital. Enjoy! Kathleen

    1. The shake was sooo good! I made PB brownie cookies (talk about dangerous!) and Italian anise cookies for my dad.
