Currently: September

I guess it's tacky to have two posts in one day but I couldn't pass up joining in on Currently, courtesy of Oh' Boy 4th Grade.

Still can't entirely believe that it's already September...

I'm listening to the soothing sounds of the Property Brothers, but I'm about to find a movie to watch, because my brain is DONE for the evening...

Loving my new routines. I've come to terms with the fact that I'm a morning person (not a sing show tunes obnoxious kind of morning person, but a "get much more done in the morning hours" person). I wake up ridiculously early, get my exercise out of the way, and head to school so that I have a solid hour before the kids arrive. This way I can come home and don't have to worry about anything.

Don't know about anyone else, but my bedtime has been creeping earlier and earlier every day this week...

Anyone with a significant other in law enforcement probably feels the same way I do during on call week. I'm never fully asleep until I hear him walk in.

If anyone knows where I can get magical elves, please let me know!

Goals...My motto this year is "self care isn't selfish." As much as I love my job it is not more important than my mental or physical health. I have a goal for my TpT store that I hope to achieve by the end of the year, so I need to start working on it now. Finally, I need to remember to be patient and take things one day at a time...easier said than done!

  1. I hate on call weeks and weekends! My husband is a doctor and he gets calls all night and day! I hope it's over for you soon. Can you send the elves to my house next? I hate putting away laundry! Have a great year!

    1. Ugh, it's the worst. At least for me it's a set week so I can plan around it...your husband must be gone all the time! I've yet to meet anyone who LIKES putting away laundry, lol.

  3. Laundry is awful. I leave it there hoping my husband will put it away, but it doesn't happen :o)
Patience and positivity are really popular goals...I think we can say it's the beginning of the school year! Stresses us out!

Found your blog through Currently! Would love for you to head over and check out my blog…

    1. I wish all teachers would collectively take a big breath and realize we shouldn't have to stress so much! LOL...never gonna happen.
